Kind of Caprese Salad

I had some perfectly ripe tomatoes, but none of the ingredients for a proper caprese salad, so I made my own version with beautifully plump red tomatoes, feta cheese, fresh origanum, olive oil and balsamic glaze. It turned out wonderfully, so I decided to share it with you!

Course Salad
Total Time 5 minutes
Servings 4 people as a side

Ingredients

  • 3 Tomatoes
  • 1 Round Feta
  • 1 Avocado
  • Handful Fresh origanum
  • Drizzle Balsamic glaze
  • Drizzle Olive oil

Instructions

  1. Slice the tomatoes and place them on your serving dish.

  2. Slice the feta VERY thinly. I cut the round in half and then turned each half onto the cut side and cut thin slices from that. I then cut those slices in half. Place them over the tomato on your dish.

  3. Slice the avo and layer that on top.

  4. Sprinkle the fresh origanum over and drizzle with balsamic glaze and olive oil. Add some freshly cracked salt and pepper if you'd like!
