19 Nov Kind of Caprese Salad
I had some perfectly ripe tomatoes, but none of the ingredients for a proper caprese salad, so I made my own version with beautifully plump red tomatoes, feta cheese, fresh origanum, olive oil and balsamic glaze. It turned out wonderfully, so I decided to share it with you!
Total Time 5 minutes
Servings 4 people as a side
Ingredients
- 3 Tomatoes
- 1 Round Feta
- 1 Avocado
- Handful Fresh origanum
- Drizzle Balsamic glaze
- Drizzle Olive oil
Instructions
-
Slice the tomatoes and place them on your serving dish.
-
Slice the feta VERY thinly. I cut the round in half and then turned each half onto the cut side and cut thin slices from that. I then cut those slices in half. Place them over the tomato on your dish.
-
Slice the avo and layer that on top.
-
Sprinkle the fresh origanum over and drizzle with balsamic glaze and olive oil. Add some freshly cracked salt and pepper if you'd like!
